Hadeel Alkuttob (b. Amman, Jordan 1998) received her BA in sculpture from The University of Jordan in 2020 and is currently pursuing an MFA at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. She has exhibited in many prestigious venues including the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, the Dar art fair, and Orfali Gallery in Amman. Her solo exhibition, Sensorium, took place at Nomad Spaces, also in Amman.
As a multidisciplinary artist, Hadeel focuses primarily on sculpture, particularly interactive pieces that engage multiple senses. Her audiovisual sculptures delve into themes of consciousness, spirituality, and the human condition. Central to Hadeel's art is its interactive nature that invites viewers to immerse themselves in the artwork.
Hadeel sees herself as a storyteller, guiding individuals through her creations to discover nuanced ideas and meanings. Beyond individual interpretation, Hadeel acknowledges art's broader societal impact by incorporating elements of community engagement, sociology, and political commentary into her practice. She aims for her art to transcend mere aesthetic expression and serve as a catalyst for introspection, dialogue, and social transformation. Her thesis exhibition will debut in the spring of 2025 in Providence, RI.
